Trying to cram into your head heaps of dull facts is not the only way to learn history.  Living History Study is both educational and entertaining;  the rush of adrenalin and excitement make the hardships of learning vanish in thin air.

The Great Kin of Kalev offers to clients from various age groups a Living History Study of Estonian Viking Age, which has been put into practice on several occasions and has provided the participants a lot of joy and excitement. We promise possibilities of “wandering in time” for children and adults, schools and businesses.

What can we offer children?
Children, whether in kindergarten or in school, are always very interested in what we have to show and teach them. Especially since Viking Age is such an exciting and captivating, epic and educational subject. In the modern consumerist and globalized world people tend to forget the basic values, but re-enacting our distant past makes it easier to re-introduce those values to our offsprings.

We offer different ways of “wandering in time” for children: from exciting and captivating lecture to epic RPG (the participants will be given costumes and roles and we will have an adventure in Viking Age together), defending the stronghold to Viking games, handicraft workshops to Viking outing. We will present ancient customs and traditions, prepare Viking Age food on the campfire, play Viking games and sing runo songs together.
